Warp Drive Engineer

Milford RES is proud to be partnering with a pioneering interstellar exploration organisation on the next phase of its long-range propulsion programme. As their fleet prepares for extended deep-space assignments, we are seeking an experienced Warp Drive Engineer to help ensure their vessels continue to operate at optimal parameters.

If you’ve ever believed that space is not the final frontier but simply the next assignment, this could be your moment.

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of the design, optimisation and field performance of next-generation warp propulsion systems. Working alongside a multidisciplinary crew of scientists, navigators and operations specialists, you’ll be responsible for maintaining matter–antimatter reaction stability, refining warp field geometry, and ensuring safe travel at velocities that make conventional physics politely step aside.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable both in theoretical modelling and in the engine room when the plasma conduits decide to express themselves.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee calibration and performance tuning of multi-core warp assemblies
  • Monitor and regulate matter/antimatter intermix ratios
  • Conduct diagnostics on dilithium crystal alignment matrices
  • Optimise warp field efficiency across variable geometries (including emergency saucer separation scenarios)
  • Collaborate with command and science divisions to align propulsion capability with mission objectives
  • Ensure all systems comply with interstellar regulatory standards (Prime directives strictly observed)

About You

  • Advanced degree in Warp Field Dynamics, Theoretical Propulsion Physics, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-output plasma systems under pressure
  • Strong understanding of subspace harmonics and temporal shear tolerances
  • Calm, solution-oriented mindset when confronted with spatial anomalies, hostile energy signatures, or unexpected Q&A sessions
  • A belief that “impossible” is often just a matter of insufficient power allocation

Bonus points if you’ve ever re-routed energy from non-essential systems to achieve a breakthrough.

What’s On Offer

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Access to cutting-edge propulsion labs and exploration-class vessels
  • Ongoing professional development across Alpha (and select Beta) quadrant projects
  • A diverse, mission-driven crew where logic and intuition are equally valued

At Milford RES, we believe exceptional talent deserves missions worthy of it. If you’re ready to boldly accelerate where others have yet to calculate, we’d be delighted to make the introduction.

Apply now through Milford RES and prepare to engage.
